About the role The WHS and Injury Management Consultant is responsible for providing advice and support on all WHS matters and workers’ compensation claims to managers and staff across South Metropolitan TAFE.
The position plays a lead role in the prevention and management on all issues relating to compensable injury management. As the WHS and Injury Management Consultant, you will work as part of a small, collaborative team in providing consultation, advice and support on all WHS matters. This includes providing a consultancy service to management on all issues relating to compensable (Workers Compensation) and non-compensable (Non-Workers Compensation) claims and injury management.
The key responsibilities of this position include: Implements and communicates WHS strategies and assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of the college’s Safety Management Systems. Provides comprehensive WHS and Workers Compensation advice using the WHS Act 2020 and Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 parameters and standards set out by WorkSafe WA and WorkCover WA. Provides a responsive and high quality WHS advisory, training and compliance support service, including auditing and investigations.
Develops, implements and monitors non-compensable injury management programs to assist injured employees with their transition back into the workforce. Maintains appropriate and accurate records for all processes and transactions. Builds and maintains effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
