Senior / Principal Water Resources EngineersAdvisian
Advisian is seeking applications from Senior and Principal Hydrologists / Water Resources Engineers to join our Water Resources team based in our Perth Office. Advisian (Worley Group) Water Resources is a diverse team of hydrologists, water engineers and hydrogeologists. We deliver water management solutions for our clients as an independent service line as well as part of larger multidisciplinary teams on a broad range of exciting projects.
We are industry leaders who partner with our clients to deliver some of the most technically challenging water projects across Australia and internationally. We strive to enhance our client’s projects through integrating best practice water stewardship principles supported by technical excellence. Working as a local team and as part of a broader team of water professionals across Australia, we undertake surface water investigations, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, impact assessments, development of surface water management strategies and engineering design for mining, hydrocarbons, chemicals and infrastructure clients.
As a Water Resources Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead and work on large-scale world class projects focused on design and execution of field investigations, assessments supporting conceptual and detailed engineering design of water-related aspects on a wide variety of projects from inception to closure. Essential Skills / Experience The candidates require proven experience in; Tertiary level qualifications in Environmental Engineering/Hydrology/Civil Engineering from a recognised institution; 10 years relevant water resource engineering exerience Depending on the candidate’s technical background, we would be seeking technical experience in one or all of the following: Site water management, water balance investigations, flood studies, rainfall-runoff modelling, hydraulic modelling, surface-groundwater interactions, water quality modelling and management, dam hydrology; Concept and detailed design of road and railway culverts, bridges, floodways, road drainage, flood levees, dams and major diversions for large scale linear infrastructure, mining and hydrocarbon projects; Concept and detailed design of urban and industrial stormwater drainage systems incorporating Water Sensitive Urban Design principles. Demonstrated rainfall-runoff and 2D floodplain modelling experience (RORB and TUFLOW preferred); Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams solving complex water issues; Good communication skills and actively seeks and promotes collaboration with team members and co-workers; Proven track record in project delivery; Extensive experience planning and managing projects with good commercial acumen; Active in national hydrological and/or engineering communities; and Current driver's licence.
