Learning Support Officer for Special Education School Casual position located in Balwyn Bachelor of Education Undergraduate welcome to apply About the role St Paul’s Special School is seeking a passionate Learning Support Officer to join the team located in Balwyn. provide support for an exemplary learning environment for students, supporting their learning and wellbeing needs to reach their full potential within St Paul's College. About you To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Learning Support Officer with a positive, flexible approach putting the needs of the students and their families first. You will work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and the allied health team to support student learning outcomes assisting with the preparation of learning materials.

Key responsibilities include Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, or allied health staff to implement individual and group programs to support learning and wellbeing Students outcomes Support all programs including Hydrotherapy program and school activities including school wide Positive Behaviour Supports and Interventions, excursions, and school community events Work effectively with parents, always displaying professional behaviour with an understanding of the issues affecting parents of a child with a disability Actively participate in all college activities including lunch, recess, staff room duty and special events Attend to the varying personal and physical needs of students including toileting and meal assistance Qualifications Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability Services or Education Support or equivalent relevant qualifications or experience Current Level Two First Aid qualifications. Current Working with Children Check Desirable Some experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
