Experienced Digital Producer required for an exciting contract role within a NSW Government department. Great team and culture 6 month contract (possibility for perm) $394.50 per day plus super CBD and WFH NSW Government About the role: The position is responsible for managing the social media channels to bring the department's collections and activities to life and build audiences for topics including exhibitions, programs and digital initiatives, while driving revenue and awareness.

The Social Media Producer will manage the organic and paid social media publishing schedule and content plan, and align activity with other teams, including Communications, Digital and Marketing. The Social Media Producer will help evolve the department's presence on social platforms, testing new products and ideas, keeping up-to-date with platform developments, advising and training colleagues, providing analysis. Key Accountabilities: Drive new ideas and strategies to increase the audience and online engagement.

Social media content strategy and creation, including ideation, planning, copywriting, and producing video and photographic content to create informative and engaging communications about exhibitions, programs and digital initiatives. Communicate the content clearly and accurately and ensure it is suited to audiences, optimised for channels Manage the day-to-day operations, monitoring and community management of the social media accounts across paid and organic to deliver outstanding service to online audiences. Monitoring and analysis of conversation themes and sentiment to optimise content and community.

Lead development and ongoing analysis of strategies, content plans, policies, guidelines, and best practice standards aligned with the brand to continually improve our social media channels. Report on and analyse statistics to refine and optimise social media, digital communications and digital marketing initiatives. Provide training, editorial oversight and ongoing support for other social media account managers to ensure guideline compliance and alignment with the brand.

Essential criteria: 3-5 years' experience in written communication skills for producing social media content from scratch as well as editing Excellent visual communication skills including the ability to select appropriate images for different social media, editing the images, and when appropriate taking photographs. Excellent working knowledge of current social media content concepts, developments and technologies. Experience on guidance on tone of voice, content creation best practice and copywriting to key stakeholders within the business.

Experience responding to community engagement on social media in a timely and responsive manner. Good understanding and experience of digital content management systems. Demonstrable interpersonal skills and experience of working in a collaborative team environment.

A demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines, paying due attention to deta.
