About the opportunity Southern Cross University’s Office of Engagement is seeking a Future Students Officer to promote the University and drive the success of domestic student recruitment. The Future Students Officer will build active and meaningful relationships with schools, colleges and RTOs across the region to enhance conversion rates.

Your core responsibilities will include: Drive the recruitment of students to undertake study at Southern Cross, with a focus on the allocated specialisation(s). Effectively promote the University and its Faculties/Colleges to build the University’s reputational profile and increase awareness of brand, student options and successes. Undertake site visits to promote the University, using data to inform application levels and unique needs of each school/college/organisation.

Collaborate with the broader Office of Engagement, working closely with Future Students Manager and Marketing Managers on the delivery of promotion material and campaigns. About you The successful candidate will be a person who wants to make a difference through their professional work. You will have a background in education and/or sales, recruitment or business development and a genuine passion and drive for the engagement of future students with Southern Cross University.

You will enthusiastically carry the responsibility of raising the profile of the University and enhancing the conversion rates of our market, on the clear understanding and belief that a degree with Southern Cross changes lives and careers. More specifically, you will have: A degree in business, marketing or a relevant discipline, and experience in a sales related role, or equivalent. Demonstrated success utilising data to inform decision making and sales strategies, evidenced by high conversion rates.

Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders to promote an organisation and build a brand image. Strong computing skills and experience using customer relationship tools, including reporting and communication management. The University’s values are integrity and collegiality.
