ICT Applications Engineer Level 4Whizdom Recruitment
Our Large Federal Government client has a requirement for a ICT Applications Engineer who will be a highly organised, dynamic, outcome orientated individual with excellent communication skills. The ICT Applications Engineer will be accountable for the planning and support of applications development work, using specialised knowledge and tools. This role will require working with business stakeholders, project managers, systems architects and other groups as required, to define and support solution delivery.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in application infrastructure development and support on Windows and/or Linux platforms. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with clustering, distributed systems and building for business continuity. Working experience with ITIL v3 Foundation processes at the service delivery and change management level.
Major Responsibilities: Deploy and Support System software: build secure and robust deployment infrastructure, patch operating systems and applications; diagnose and resolve system and environment problems, implement break-fixes for diverse customers from individual users to system stakeholders. Identify, investigate, analyse and resolve operational problems. Write and maintain operational and security documentation including System Security Plans, test/installation guides, change approval requests with change process plans and corporate knowledge summaries such as system diagrams and support procedures Create and build release pipelines for applications services, for both existing and new services Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: Contract terms between 12 and 24 months will be considered SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4. Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
