Empowered People " We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Civilian Operations Division with our National Defence Partner.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager - Civilian Operations, is responsible for the effective leadership and guidance of the Civilian business, totalling 90 plus colleagues. The role will be pivotal in driving the business to achieve financial, schedule, scope and quality requirements, whilst delivering outstanding customer outcomes. This will include the delivery and growth of existing and new business with strategic, customer or operational commonality.

This role will be based in Adelaide; however, you must be able to undertake extensive domestic & international travel where and when required. Roles & Responsibilities Acting within prescribed financial limits and other delegated authorities; and complying with legislation and company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care, and the quality management system. Leading by example and effectively managing, coaching and supporting the team, including professional and career development.

Regularly reporting performance, including insights, challenges and risk management to the Chief Operating Officer. Driving performance of the business including Order Intake, Revenue, Gross Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow targets. Supporting company strategic planning, implementation of allocated strategic initiatives and communication of strategy.

Overseeing business intelligence collection, assessment and capture management, including negotiation of follow-on and new business to achieve order intake targets, as well as customer, partner & other relevant stakeholder relationships. Managing customer relationships and expectations. Managing Business Unit relationships and expectations and meeting reporting requirements.

Budgeting, forecasting and resource planning. Managing resource requirements and allocation issues. Leading Program, Project, and Capture Management governance, including establishing and monitoring priorities.

Implementing systems, processes & practices. Serve as a role model to all colleagues by demonstrating superior safety leadership. Skills & Experience Demonstrated track record of high-level management and leadership, including management of a diverse product/project portfolio.

Sound understanding of Business Management including People, Finance, Commercial, Business Development and Project Management. Experience in the leadership of Operations, including delivery of complex projects. Demonstrated ability to lead and foster cooperation within and between teams.

Proven ability in internal and external customer liaison. Excellent negotiating and interrelationship skills and a de.
