Critical Assets Support OfficerState Emergency Service Victoria
$ 90,067 to $ 102,192 10.5% Super Fixed Term, Full Time - Up to 2 years We offer a wide range of flexible working arrangements to suit everyone, including a generous hours provision. Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service.
Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) during major bushfire and emergency incidents. ROLE SUMMARY: This position is available due to VICSES implementing a new operating model with a change to the structure of roles, to best serve the needs of our community and our people.
This role will support the Manager Assets and Critical Assets Lead in the development of new assets, undertaking procurement tasks, preparing assets for delivery and disposal, providing regular communication to units on the progress of the program, produce induction documentation and conduct handovers at units and undertaking quality assurance inspections on new assets. This position is a non-operational role that requires a flexible and solution focused approach with the ability to deliver specific outcomes within clearly defined time and resource constraints. At times, this role will also be required to work outside normal business hours and on weekends to attend various workshops and taskforces.
