About the Role Classification: Locally Engaged Staff (LES) Salary Range: Commensurate with experience Work Location: Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) office, Bengaluru, India Employment Type: Fixed Term – 2 years A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a background in international business development, together with an understanding of the global business environment, in particular as it relates to India and Victoria, Australia, to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) team in Bengaluru. Working in a small and supportive team environment, the role requires someone who is self-motivated, solution oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. The position reports to the Director - Trade & Industry, India, and works closely with colleagues in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Melbourne, Australia.
A strong knowledge of, and network in at least one of the priority sectors for the Victorian Government would be highly regarded. Successful Candidate The successful candidate will possess: An extensive understanding and commercial experience in industry sectors relevant to Victorian exporters. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a high performing team to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high quality.
An ability to maintain strict confidentiality across a network of clients and buyers with competing needs. Confident communication skills in English, Hindi, and at least one regional language, with the ability to provide professional advice to Victorian clients. The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
