The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences Academic level B/C Continuing position Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply Closing 7 December at 11.00pm AEST (R-12348) About This Opportunity To engage as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the discipline of organic and preferably medicinal chemistry. To contribute to postgraduate supervision, and further development of the programs where required, as well as administrative and other activities associated with the School.

This position is offered as a Teaching and Research (T&R) role and candidates will be expected to perform teaching, research, service and engagement duties. Please view the candidate information booklet for a full list of duties. About You PhD in the discipline areas of organic and/or medicinal chemistry. Ability to teach Levels 1, 2 3 and 4 of the Chemistry curriculum at UQ in the area of organic and preferably medicinal chemistry.

Demonstrated expert knowledge in the discipline area. Demonstrated contribution to teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level in a variety of settings, including small and large groups, studio-based teaching and individual project supervision. Track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presentations at conferences.

Evidence of a contribution to research, including successful external grant applications. Track record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion. An established profile in the scholarship of teaching as evidenced by participation in the communication and dissemination of teaching practice within the discipline and engagement in subject, professional and pedagogy research as required to support teaching activities.
