Employment Type: Fixed Term, Full Time to November 2023 (35-hour week) Remuneration: Level 6 Position ($91,472 - $97,579 17% Super) Location: Kensington, NSW (Flexible working available within Australia only) Progress your career by taking advantage of the many training and development opportunities available to you Why this role matters: The Project Officer – Short Courses plays a key role within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at UNSW in providing proactive and professional support for project teams and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be supporting the Short Course Team Leader on the strategic and operational direction of short courses and lifelong learning within the Arts, Design & Architecture Faculty. The Project Officer – Short Courses will provide strong support and effective services to internal clients through project management of a suite of short courses across the faculty.
The role reports to the Short Course Team Leader, Victoria Loy and is part of the Education Excellence team. Accountabilities: Monitor, track, and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects. Provide practical and proactive project support and administrative services to project team and stakeholders.
Assess and monitor project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. Coordinate project administration including project status reporting, expenditure tracking, and evaluation. Develop and manage effective communications with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the project.
Support adherence to UNSW governance pathways to ensure projects are managed within a defined, consistent, and proven set of rules for project development. Ensure all CPD accreditation requirements of the short courses are met including maintenance/submission of accreditation with NESA, ARB etc. Skills and Experience: To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship.

Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
Proven project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives, and documentation. Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, databases and learning management systems.
Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative. Demonstrated ability to....
