School of Economics Hew Level 4 Continuing Position Applications Close Sunday 20th November 2022 at 11.00pm AEST (R-19172) About This Opportunity The primary purpose of this position is to provide administration support to School staff, maintain daily operational activities and deliver high quality reception duties. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide general administrative support to academic and professional staff.
Provide assistance in the administration of operational activities including building maintenance, access, workspace allocation and equipment for all staff, HDR students and visitors. Respond to the School enquiries phone line and CRM, directing enquiries accordingly. Provide reception services for the School and respond to requests for information from students, prospective students, staff and other relevant School stakeholders.
Distribute mail and maintain general School stores of stationery and office consumable items. Provide administrative support for School events and for the School’s seminar and visitor programs. Any other duties as reasonably directed by the role supervisor and Manager, Projects and Operations.
This role is subject to The University’s Code of Conduct . About You Essential Post-secondary qualifications (e.g.
Certificate IV or Diploma) and relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. Minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role with a strong emphasis on provision of high-quality professional services in a busy customer-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise effectively with people from diverse backgrounds at all levels, including students, academic staff and professional staff.
Sound written communication skills with the ability to provide accurate, clear and consistent written advice (predominantly via email) on policy and procedural matters. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to prioritise competing work demands and tasks and to meet deadlines with demonstrated high level of self-motivation and well-developed time management and organisational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to quality client service which will enable the appointee to attend promptly and courteously to client requests, ensuring a high standard of client service provision. Desirable Knowledge (or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge) of relevant University policies and procedures and operating systems. Experience in a tertiary education environment.
What We Can Offer This is a f ull-time c ontinuing position at Hew Level 4. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $66,733.35 - $70,842.
86 plus super of up to 17% . The total FTE package will be in the range $78,078.02- $82,886.
