Claims Manager

You will be responsible for the management of all reported corporate claims.

This includes the settlement of claims against Optus, recovery of damages from negligent third parties and notification and submission of claims to Optus insurers where the loss exceeds the deductible. Management of claims includes keeping the records thereof in the nominated systems, producing reports, payment of invoices, journal transfer requests and maintenance of the Insurance general ledger account. This position is also responsible for continuously developing and governing the claims process, providing assistance, advice, mentorship and direction to the business on various claims, and supporting Optus' insurance renewal program.

Your skills and background Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Insurance / Business); Experience gained with a major Broker or Insurer focussed on Claims Management (min 5 years); Familiarity with the underwriting or claims management process; Solid understanding of insurance principles and claims management; Strong report writing and presentation skills for both internal and external use; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of customers; Proficient in Microsoft Office i.

e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Open minded and flexible in your approach, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills; & Highly driven, autonomous and resilient. Enjoys working in a dynamic and multi-cultural team and business environment.
