Job Title: Business Development Manager -Infrastructure Projects Reports to: Head of Strategic Partnerships Position Location: Scoresby (VIC) or North Ryde (NSW) Number of Direct Reports: 0 Position Summary: This role is responsible for driving strategic growth & managing development, market share and profitability of new laboratory infrastructure projects. Specifically, the position will work with customers, architects, project managers, engineers & construction companies to consult on laboratory new builds, redesign and expansion projects in order to position Thermo Fisher Scientific as a total solution provider of lab, equipment & consumables.
The role works in close partnership with the Technical Sales Specialists, Technical and Applications Specialists, Service Team, Product Managers, Tenders Team & the commercial organization to identify new opportunities to expand the companies reach. Key Responsibilities: Create an overall strategy for Lab Infrastructure projects for Thermo Fisher ANZ; incorporating business unit level goals and objectives. Focus on cross functional coloration and integrated selling approaches to ensure the biggest strategic wins for the company Identification and creation of opportunities to initiate new partnerships that will facilitate the achievement of strategic goals Champion of initiatives across organisational boundaries to achieve a new operational efficiency Own the business development & project management of key laboratory infrastructure projects for Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Manage the interface between the customer account, builders, sub-contractors, Thermo Fisher Scientific and the supplier during laboratory build projects in conjunction with the Thermo Fisher account manager or key account manager. Develop relationships with key decision makers within the account to advance Thermo Fisher's access and opportunities. Conduct pre & post installation reviews in conjunction customers & key stakeholders for laboratory infrastructure builds.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand new lab builds and lab expansion projects Align specific proposals and offerings to company objectives by working with suppliers, business unit leaders, portfolio managers and sales teams. Work closely with senior leadership, account managers, key accounts managers on initiatives such as bundles, incentives, and rebates to bias the relationship towards significant improvement in share of wallet with Thermo Fisher Scientific....
