The role The Group Reporting Manager manages and oversees the accurate and timely delivery of financial and board reporting for the GPT Group. What you will be doing The principal tasks of the role include, but are not limited to: Preparing and managing the delivery of all aspects of financial and statutory reporting for the Group including quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting requirements. These include, but are not limited to; GPT Group Half Year and Annual Financial Reports, Board and Audit Committee reports, CEO and CFO reporting, and other ad hoc reports.
Preparing and coordinating financial analysis and reviewing of business performance. Leading and managing the external audit process. Reviewing the monthly Group consolidation and results.
Determining the application of accounting standards as they impact on transactions. Developing and enhancing existing finance systems to improve the process and delivery of Group reporting requirements. Participating in projects and initiatives as required.
Developing, in consultation with the Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance, the Group's position on the impacts of new accounting standards, as required. What makes you stand out To be successful in this role, you will have significant senior accounting experience, which will include corporate or statutory reporting. Big 4 experience will be held in high regard.
Moreover, you will hold a professional accounting qualification. You will be able to demonstrate a solid practical understanding of the application of accounting standards, general accounting principles and tax. You will have an extensive understanding of financial reporting systems and processes.
