We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Layout Engineer. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and may involve occasional domestic and international travel. Position responsibilities will include: Carrying out the PCB layout design of new Mobility Solutions products.
Understanding the functional requirements of the product as well as available PCB technologies and assembly processes to create size and cost optimised layout designs. Collaborating closely with hardware and mechanical design engineers to achieve an optimal design balancing electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirement. Propose changes to HW and ME designs as required.
Contributing to the successful introduction of products into production and assist the cross functional team to achieve the project goals. Cooperating with all project team members on all issues needed to ensure successful completion of projects on time, in accordance with the project budget and to the expected quality level. Ensuring all development activities are performed in accordance with the companies' procedures as well as relevant international standards.
Qualifications We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, establish effective relationships across all levels of an organisation. To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria: Electrical Engineering Degree or similar Relevant experience in a similar role Good interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organisation and time management skills Experience with Layout Design Software (Altium, Zuken, Cadence or similar) Good overview of PCB manufacturing and assembly technologies Good understanding of EMC design principles The following experience would be desirable: Automotive industry experience.
