The Informatics Technical Specialist is primarily responsible for driving the IT implementation and ongoing support of Abbott diagnostics software and automation solutions in ANZ. With a deep understanding of the pathology laboratory the Informatics Technical Specialist develops and maintains effective systems, programs, interfaces and databases while providing technical services, expert guidance and technical training to help realize customer solutions that improve safety and productivity. The successful Informatics Technical Specialist will exceed customer expectations and drive customer satisfaction.
With outstanding communication skills, the Informatics Technical Specialist will work with cross functional project teams, third parties and Abbott customers to articulate technical concepts, needs, proposals and project plans. The Informatics Technical Specialist will work directly with Abbott customers remotely and in-person to identify and address capability or performance gaps in existing systems using approved tools and methods. With broad customer insight the Informatics Technical Specialist can clearly articulate opportunities and the potential value an Abbott solution can provide.
Working collaboratively with the broader sales and support organisation in the Asia Pacific Area the Informatics Technical Specialist forms part of an effective team providing and supporting robust and compliant solutions that expand account profitability and secure future business growth. Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, or IT systems. Additional qualifications in life sciences or medical technology highly regarded.
