Insurance & Risk Officer - Moranbah

IRC is currently seeking an experienced Insurance and Risk professional for a 12 month fixed term contract based in Moranbah. Insurance & Risk Officer, Moranbah (Fixed Term) About the Position: An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term full time Insurance & Risk Officer to join Isaac Regional Councils’ Corporate Governance & Financial Services directorate, based in Moranbah. Reporting to Manager Governance & Corporate Services, the Insurance and Risk Officer is responsible for risk and claims management relating to corporate insurance and supports the Manager in the enterprise risk management and audit program.

The Insurance & Risk Officer position is accountable for managing and coordinating insurance portfolio in its entirety, performing risk analysis and assessing underwriting terms and conditions, the lodgement and coordination of Council Insurance Claims and identify issues, risks and inefficiencies within the Insurance Portfolio. This role is also responsible for the lodgement, management, coordinating the insurance renewal process and reviewing comparatives pricing for insurance products and services and interpreting relevant acts/ regulations. For this position we offer: Salary $79,732.

11 - $84,431.50 (Stream A, Level 4) allowances; 72.5 hours per fortnight; 12-month fixed term contract commencing Monday 23 January 2023; RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement; 5 weeks’ annual leave at 17.

5% loading; 15 days personal leave per annum; Up to 13% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement; Discounted health insurance from a variety of providers; Active social club & so much more. About You: We are seeking an enthusiastic Risk & Insurance Officer who possesses: Tertiary qualifications in Business Studies, Legal, Administration or Government Studies or demonstrated experience in a similar position is essential; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to consult, research and analyse for problem solving; Ability to manage competing priorities & meet targets; High proficiency with standard software applications e.g.

MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
