A unique opportunity for an experienced farm hand to join a family-run Angus enterprise on beautiful King Island, Tasmania. The role An exciting position has become available for a passionate experienced farm hand to join Waverley Station on King Island, Tasmania. With ample green feed and abundant rainfall, King Island provides an ideal location for the successful candidate to expand their skillset and become part of this industry-leading enterprise.

The property runs a progressive self-replacing Angus herd of 10,000 breeders over 20,000 acres of prime grazing country. Waverley Station’s vision is to provide Australia and the world with premium grass-fed beef. They are seeking a hard-working person with extensive experience in the cattle industry to join the team in undertaking day-to-day operations including- All aspects of animal husbandry- Cattle work, pregnancy testing, joining, calving, and vaccinating.

General farm duties- Checking and repairing water infrastructure, pasture management, fencing, and operation of on-farm machinery. Strong teamwork, effective leadership, and people management. This role will see you handling livestock in a low-stress manner, with the use of side-by-sides or quadbikes for mustering (dogs are welcome to be used).

Your contributions will be highly valued. The offer There is an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated based on the candidate’s experience along with a comfortable 3-bedroom home with a fireplace for heating, all utilities will be covered including electricity. A work ute and fuel will be provided.
