Tyre FitterThe Technical and Engineering Network
We are looking for a hard-working and experienced Tyre Fitter to join our client's underground team. We have a new vacancy for an experienced Tyre Fitter to work for our client, who is a nationally recognized mining contractor, in the Goldfields region of WA. The successful applicant would be responsible for performing preventative measures and repairs on the underground fleet of vehicles.
This position is FIFO from Perth to the Project Site on a 2:1 roster. Your responsibilities may include: Perform daily assessment of the fleet’s tyre conditions and report as required. Conduct regular tyre pressure and thread depth checks.
Carry out all duties in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Adhere to required guidelines while carrying out monthly stocktakes. Assist trades people with the maintenance, servicing and repair of plant equipment.
Change out and rotate tyres on the mobile fleet as required to optimise usage. Checking for damages. Submit the appropriate and accurate documentation for processing in a timely manner.
Provide additional support to the maintenance departments to manage work orders and eliminate faults. Perform additional labouring tasks as required. Monthly stock takes.
Essential Criteria: Hold a Certificate II in Heavy Duty Tyre Fitting. 2 years’ experience fitting heavy earthmoving equipment tyres. Proven experience working FIFO in the mining industry or large-scale operations.
Physically fit to meet the demands of the role. Holds a valid Australian Driver’s License. Dedicated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communication. Highly motivated with the ability to work well in a team and autonomously. Additional qualifications/licenses will be highly regarded.
