Physiotherapist Physiotherapy - Residential Aged Care Grade 1, Year 4-7 Permanent Full Time (80 hrs per fortnight) with ADO We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our professional Residential Aged Care team. This permanent full time position includes working Monday to Friday and will report directly to the Chief Physiotherapist with support from Grade 2 clinicians. The Region The city of Horsham has a population of 19,500 and is a 300 kms from Melbourne on the Western Highway and 400kms to Adelaide.
It is a well serviced city with diverse education and businesses, positioned at the northern end of the Grampians National Park, nearby lakes and world famous rock-climbing areas as well as being a wine and food hub. The Health Service Wimmera Health Care Group has an average of 325 births per year, 12,500 admissions and 4,600 operations and 16,000 ED attendances annually. We have a modern theatre complex, including a day procedure unit, a five-bed intensive care unit, and acute and subacute wards all set within a picturesque garden setting.
The Position The successful Grade 1 Physiotherapist will provide effective and efficient assessment, planning and implementation of appropriate interventions across our Residential Aged Care facilities. Services may also be provided to acute, sub-acute, and outpatients clients as required. Work may encompass the WHCG campuses at Horsham and Dimboola.
Key Selection Criteria: Essential: Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia Eligible for full membership in the Australian Physiotherapy Association Desirable: Current membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association Current Driver’s Licence Employment history in the position of Physiotherapist Experience in Residential care pain management program and the Aged Care Funding Instrument Attractive benefits offered by the organisation include: Salary packaging, Employee Assistance Program, Comprehensive orientation program.
