So if you excel at architecting data applications at scale, enjoy the challenge of writing optimised lightning fast SQL for massive data sets, have experience structuring extensible data and application logic, and are passionate about designing high quality APIs, then we'd love to hear from you Requirements What our team works on: Development, deployment and maintenance of complex data and analytics applications for sophisticated data transformation and visualization; Monitor and develop data analytics pipelines; Managing large databases; Assessments of data/machine learning frameworks from development, scalability and maintenance perspective.
Must haves: Experience with relational databases and SQL Proficiency in Python and Linux Cloud services experience, preferably AWS Background or interest in data engineering at scale Experience working in an agile team environment, continuously shipping environment Tertiary Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Science (or related) Strong writing and verbal communication skills Strong sense of ownership and able to self-manage work Self-motivated and tracked-record of learning new technologies Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability Nice-to-haves: Experience with microservices, containerisation architecture and DevOps Experience with development of public facing APIs Experience in any ETL tools Experience with development of web applications Strong knowledge of computer networking Sound understanding of the best web security practices We would love you to have: Strong academic achievements A Github page with contributions to open source software Benefits This won’t be a cog-in-the-machine type of job; you will be joining a global company that values attitude and capa....
