FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR Hotel Services Permanent Full Time Managers and Administrative Workers Grade (HS4) $83,657.60 annual salary excluding allowances and salary packaging ________________________________________________________________________________________ An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of the Food Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides Food Service support to the organisation over a wide range of services, including but not limited to: in patient catering, aged care residential catering, cafeteria operations, internal and external function catering, providing expert advice, menu planning and contributing toward projects.
This stimulating role would suit an experienced people leader who is flexible, enjoys working within a team and is dedicated to providing a great Food Service to their consumers. Our preferred candidate will have: Sound computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. A current motor vehicle driver’s license.
A passion for leading people. The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous: Certificate IV in business, hospitality or equivalent. Food Safety Supervisor.
Knowledge of Victorian food safety regulations and legislation. Previous experience within a hospital or health care environment. IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement. What a day in the role looks like: Set daily direction to direct reports (FS Supervisor and Head Chef). Roster review to ensure daily coverage of all tasks.
Respond to and manage outside of usual department requests. Lead and participate in required meetings. Coach, guide and support direct team on the job.
Complete and review audits and inspections to ensure the department is compliant with Food Safety Standards. Conduct training sessions. Maintain databases.
Challenge operating procedures to keep department current. Review department P&L spends. Complete KPI reporting.
