Competitive Salary on offer carparkingA fantastic company culture with great valuesTelecommunications companyMy client is looking to appoint two Auckland-based Health and Safety Advisors to join their HSEQW Team. Reporting to the National HSEQW Manager, this role will promote and contribute to improving Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Wellbeing performance nationally. This will be split into two key regions - focusing on the Upper North Island from South Auckland to Waikato and Auckland to Whangarei area.
In this role, you will engage and promote the best HSEQW practices across staff, contractors, and customers, adopting a socially responsible approach that respects the laws, human rights, and communities in which we live and work. Partnering with operations, you will boost the roll-out and implementation of a robust 24/7 HSEQW operation model, including developing training materials specific to the 24/7 operations. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Provide support with tenders and new projects Facilitate training, toolbox talks and annual re/inductionsProvide mentorship and guidance on HSEQW related mattersProduce scheduled and ad hoc reporting on HSEQW related metricsEncourage a positive HSEQW culture through visible leadership at all levelsLead the ongoing development and implementation of the HSEQW 24/7 strategyLead investigation into all after-hours incidents and near misses, ensuring accurate documentationAssist in maintaining ISO and Safety accreditation through adherence to required standards and assisting with auditing activitiesTo be successful you will need:Your knowledge of HSEQW legislation and practical experience, coupled with your effective communication skills, will ensure innovative HSEQW practices are adopted amongst the employee group and throughout our large subcontractor workforce.
In addition, you shall enjoy working closely with our staff, collaborating with them, so their safety and wellbeing, and those around them, are protected. The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in health and safety and ICAM qualifications. Previous experience in the acquisition and/or maintenance of a company's accreditations for AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 or related lead auditor qualifications are highly desirable.
