As a Datacentre Technician, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Come and join us in COI and be at the forefront of the action Responsibilities The purpose of this role As adatacenter technician, you will primarily be working on-site to support physical datacenter infrastructure.

You will work closely with your team, and play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, troubleshooting and upgrading DC networks through a ticket-based environment. The Impact You'll Be Making - Supporting deployment of on-site datacenter physical infrastructure - Installing, replacing, and troubleshooting cables and hardware - Handling data bearing devices (ex. Hard drives, solid state drives, etc.

) - Working within a ticket-based environment - Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment. - As required, assisting the Datacenter Inventory and Asset Management Team (DIAT) with shipping/receiving and inventory management to address high work volumes. Qualifications What skills do you need to have? There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft.

However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Proven experience supporting Inventory Control, Logistics, or Warehouse Management - Able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. - Proficient in written and oral English communication to support regional and global teams. - Desire to learn, grow, and develop new technical skills.
