Market Development Specialist - Structural Heart Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Requisition : 220002BD Post Date: Mar 29, 2022 Careers That Change Lives In this exciting role as a Market Development Specialist you will have responsibility for leading Market Development initiatives on your territory. The Structural Heart Business is one of the fastest-growing businesses at Medtronic, helping patients requiring aortic valve replacement. Reporting to the Business Manager, Structural Heart, ANZ you will work as part of a team that strives to lead the market in transcatheter products, services to patients, customers and management of valve related diseases.

Aortic stenosis is an underdiagnosed, underreferred and undertreated disease state. In your role as a market development specialist you will work on increasing disease state awareness initiatives across your territory, referral programs for Structural Heart Hospitals and driving efficiencies for the therapy. A Day in the Life In this role you will have comfort working with a wide variety of physician specialties, hospital executives at the service line level, and have a proven track record of success developing markets in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.

Possessing strong process-oriented core competencies to help identify best practices, ways to improve processes and find ways to best promote and share those processes throughout the country. At the same time you are able to recognise the best way to adapt and integrate best practices into the various clinic and hospital/physician alignments - Be a Medtronic therapy expert and product champion - Partner with the Market Development Managers on the creation and dissemination of strategic initiatives. - Utilize key clinical studies and data to educate referrers about therapy and implant selection based on patient risk factors; age and hemodynamic requirements.

- Collaborate with physicians, hospital executives and service line administrators to increase public awareness and clinical pathway development for aortic stenosis. - Guide use of targeted resources and programs to execute market development initiatives in identified sites - Partner with Marketing and Sales Leadership to develop and implement action plans for targeted disease states. - Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to create and manage action plans regarding the identification, development and partnership of KOLs.

- Participate in targeted Association and Society Events related to Market Development areas of opportunity. - Partner with Sales Leadership and Marketing on customer expansion strategies and opportunities to reach new physicians. - Communicate the Medtronic value proposition to key accounts to drive branded selection of Medtronic therapies and services.

- Work with local marketing and sales organizations on the execution of effective training and education events - Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products to promote Medtronic pr.
