We are seeking an experienced in-house lawyer with a background in the healthcare industry to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

If youre looking for an organisation that truly believes in offering exciting career opportunities, diverse and challenging work and to provide reward and recognition, this could be the next incredible step in your career A Day in the Life Reporting to our Senior Legal Manager, the Principal Legal Compliance Counsel will provide high quality legal advice and services concerning Medtronics legal rights, obligations, risks and privileges. You will partner with stakeholders across the business providing legal expertise on a broad range of legal areas. In this role you will: - Provide high quality legal and compliance advice and services concerning the companys legal rights, obligations, risks, and privileges.

Problems and issues faced may be complex and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties. - Ensuring that ethical and corporate compliance obligations of Medtronic are met with respect to external requirements (MTAA/MTANZ Code of Practice, US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Corruption legislation) and internal requirements (Medtronic Code of Conduct, Business Conduct Standards (BCS), Risk Management System, and compliance related Corporate Policies, Procedures and Processes). - Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of legal and compliance contracts with customers, healthcare professionals, suppliers, and third-party intermediaries on behalf of the Company.

- Provide legal advice in relation to claims, disputes, litigation, privacy, regulatory matters as well as risk assessment and competition law issues in ANZ. - Review of promotional materials to ensure compliance with advertising laws, regulations, and internal company guidelines. - Timely processing and monitoring of submissions relating to grants, sponsorships, donations, research, consultancy, etc.

via the eCATS or any replacement pre-approval and tracking system to ensure compliance with company policies, industry codes and applicable laws. - Deliver compliance training and provide informed and effective advice on business ethics and compliance issues - Providing compliance-related updates, presentations, metrics or reports to the OU Leadership Teams. - Keeps current on legislative issues, statutes, decisions, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies, compliance legislation and codes.

- Strong interaction and leadership is necessary with all levels of the Companys sales, marketing, and function.
