Title: Systems Engineer - Certification The Company Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government professional services provider. KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence and Defence Industry for over 20 years and has core competencies in program and project management, engineering, asset management, integrated logistics support, procurement and training solutions, and provides in-depth expertise to a wide range of projects within the Defence sector. The Role Our Aerospace client are currently seeking several Systems Engineers to provide Certification Engineering support to assist the Commonwealth with the following: - Aircraft Airworthiness Issue Paper Remediation - Certification Checklist (CCL) Remediation - Review of Compliance Demonstration Evidence (CDE) - Aircraft DASR Form 31 Major Design Change Approvals - Aircraft Military Certification Review Items with Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) - Continuation Training and ongoing mentoring and professional development to SPO Engineering and Technical Staff - ADRM Requirements Review for the Project Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge - Recognised Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, ideally Software, Electronic or Aerospace (Essential); - Demonstrated competence and experience as per a DSS Level 3 Advanced Practitioner or above (Essential); - Demonstrated experience in software and electronic hardware Aviation Certification Activities (Essential); - Demonstrated experience in the Defence Aviation Environment (Essential); - Effective written and oral communications skills (Essential); - Demonstrated competence and experience in the DASR, European Defence Agency equivalent or European Aviation Safety Agency regulation set (Highly desirable); - Demonstrated experience in Defence acquisition and/or sustainment environment (Highly desirable); - Ability to work autonomously, multi-task and demonstrate an ability to meet demanding milestones.
(Highly desirable); - Knowledge of Defence Writing standards (Desirable); and - Knowledge of internal Defence processes (Desirable). These roles require an NV1 security clearance. Canberra, ACT is the preferred location for these positions, however, remote work will be considered for strong applicants demonstrating superior communication skills and previous remote working experience.
