Title: Systems Engineer The Company Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd (KBR) is a leading Government and Defence service provider. KBR in Australia has been involved in working with Defence for the last 20 years, and has developed a core competency in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management, training solutions and integrated logistic support and provides this expertise to support a wide range Defence projects and clients. The Role The Engineer reports to and receives direction from the Program Engineering Lead as the engineering Functional Lead.
And the engineer is responsible to the project manager for day to day project engineering activities. if required and workload permits, the engineer may be tasked by the IWP Lead to assist other CIED projects. The engineer shall provide engineering management and oversight over requirements for engineering, design management, integration engineering, verification and validation and materiel certification leading and directing a geographically dispersed engineering team.
The engineer shall provide engineering management activities to ensure the achievement of the delivery of engineering materiel system inputs into the Project's work packages. The required services may include, but are not limited to: • Resource planning and assist with workforce recruiting • Risk reduction activity planning • Document development, review and approval in support of Gate approval processes if required • Engineering reports and/or briefs as requested • Endorsement of risk reduction activity documentation • Endorsement of Materiel Certification packages Experience and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: • Technical Authority Level 5 or equivalent in Aero or Maritime domains • Demonstrated recent Project Engineering Lead/Management experience • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple, multi-disciplined engineering staff for a minimum of 4 years • Demonstrated Systems Engineering qualifications or experience • Have an Australian Government security clearance - Minimum NV1 • Well-developed leadership skills and experience.
