Title: Test and Evaluation Engineer About the role: LAND 4100 is a system of systems Land C4 capability program consisting of four major systems: - Battlefield Telecommunications Network (BTN). The BTN is the wide area network that provides communication between strategic and operational echelons. The BTN is the Joint Land Force's communications backbone.

- Tactical Communications Network (TCN). The TCN is the extension of the BTN into the Tactical echelon. The TCN provides voice and data communications within a tactical area.

The BTN provides the connectivity between different tactical areas. - Battle Management System (BMS). The BMS consists of the hardware and software products that are integrated to provide Command and Control and Situational Awareness functions in support of the decision cycles within military operations.

BMS is predominantly an information service. - Deployed Information Environment (DIE) - The DIE is the deployable local area network infrastructure which provides the Land warfighter information environment. Although The DIE will continue to be part of the Land C4 Capability System, the deployed information environments are planned to become a Joint C4 responsibility under the Warfighter Networks and Applications (WNA) sub-program.

As a member of the Land 4100 project team, in the role of Test and Evaluation engineer, the incumbent uses their experience, and in-depth knowledge of best practice in the area of systems based test and evaluation to ensure the delivery of fit for purpose, safe and environmentally compliant systems to the ADF. The candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Coordinate test and evaluation program activities with vendors, project internal and project external stakeholders. These activities are multi-disciplined.

E.g.: software, hardware, system safety, cyber security, E3, etc.

- Review and approval of the vendors' test and evaluation program. Reviewing and working with the vendors on their contractual deliverables such as Acceptance Test Plan, VCRM, Acceptance Test Procedures, Acceptance Test Reports, etc. - Witnessing vendor testing of a technical nature across a broad range of engineering disciplines on behalf of the Commonwealth representative, including testing of software, hardware, platform/vehicle integrated systems, E3, communications, network performance, safety, cyber security, etc.

- Planning test and evaluation activities and developing test documents. E.g.

: Test Plan, VCRM, Test Procedures, Test Reports, etc. - Running test and evaluation activities. E.

g.: Test directing, test witnessing, configuration management, test facilities coordination, etc. - Participating in systems engineering configuration audits, reporting on test outcomes and system specification compliance.

- Management of systems engineering artefacts relating to test and evaluation such as the VCRM, V&V Plan, etc. - Management of test failure documentation, resolutions and deviations. - Participating.
