Title: Team Lead - Technical Publications The Company Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government professional services provider. The Role Location: Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney The Technical Publications Team Lead works within the Systems Analysis and Support Discipline of KBR.
This position leads and manages a team of technical publication authors as well as applying advanced technical authoring skills to scope, develop and delivery publications to a variety of civil and Defence clients. Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge - Provide leadership and management to a technical author team in order to support program, project and bid requirements. This includes forecast and prioritizing the allocation/assignment of team resources.
- Provide advice and direction by identifying future needs and determining pathways for attainment in relation to technical documentation capabilities. - Support proposal development activities by providing Technical Documentation subject matter experience and resource recommendations. - Manage and monitor technical author, illustrator and subject matter experts in order to develop and deliver assigned technical publication tasks against prescribed Defense and commercial standards.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of relevant standards (including DEF(AUST) 5629C) and experience in developing and delivering S1000D/Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals. - Support and contribute to Communities of Interest appropriate to Technical Documentation development. - Provide support and professionalization opportunities for Technical Documentation resources.
- Assurance of Technical Documentation delivery across programs/projects is consistent with KBR expectations of excellence - Set up goals and objectives for all subordinate staff. Provide performance review and evaluation of subordinate staff. - Perform any other reasonable duties as directed from time to time that are relevant to technical documentation, background and experience.
