Business Development Manager

Title: Business Development Manager Company Kellogg Brown and Root (KBR) is a leading Defence and Government professional services provider. KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence and Defence Industry for over 20 years and has core competencies in program and project management, engineering, asset management, integrated logistics support, procurement and training solutions, and provides in-depth expertise to a wide range of projects within the Defence sector. Role Working in a highly professional and focused Sales & Client Account team, you will be part of a team that is focused on tactical and strategic opportunities to ensure the continued growth of KBR.

With a specific focus on Defence and Defence Industry clients across the Training and Systems Analysis & Support domains , this will be a highly visible and important position. As the Business Development Manager, your role will be crucial in establishing a strategy with subsequent campaigns that deliver on our vision and mission to be a leading provider of professional services to Defence and Defence Industry. Responsibilities Drive business development strategy and growth plans for the business unit Meet assigned sales and revenue targets Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally Lead customer engagement on behalf of the assigned business unit and senior KBR management Navigate the pursuit through the Sales Process being responsible, and accountable for keeping the Client Relationship Management (CRM) and other business systems up to date Conduct pre-sales activity prior to RFI/RFT release Business Plans Lobby and assist in the development of alliances, within the guidelines of the Government Services Strategic tenets, and as approved by the GM-STS in support of new business and commercialisation opportunities.

Drive and manage internal sales support resources/process so that strategic accounts are actively managed and the best possible/most appropriate solution is presented to the client Expand the networks of other STS team members to maximise reach into strategic accounts and target organisations Champion a results-oriented culture through business development/pursuits Qualifications, Skills and Experience Experience in solution sales (services) within the Defence and government market Tertiary qualifications in education or business (or equivalent industry experience) Knowledge and/or experience in the training and education domain Deep understanding of Defence structure, purchasing policies and training processes Proven ability to lead bids and secure Defence contracts Proven ability to pursue multiple capture campaigns concurrently Relevant network across industry, Defence and Federal government Have an Australian Government security clearance Benefits of KBR KBR is committed to supporting the professional development of staff at every stage of their career through in-house training, performance rewards and struc.
