As an Information Systems Technician in the Army, your job makes a real difference to the success of Army operations. As part of the Army’s advanced ICT team, the Signallers, your role is to install high-level military software and hardware to ensure the Army stays connected. You’ll work with a highly trained team who, like you, are always looking forward.
As someone who loves a challenge, you’ll make quick decisions under tight time constraints in a range of environments. Ultimately, you’ll provide technical support to establish and manage communications networks that allow command and control of deployed forces. As you progress, you’ll gain highly sought-after ICT experience with opportunities to strengthen your skillset with qualifications such as CISCO and CYBER courses.
Location: Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in VIC, QLD, NSW and the NT. It’s not possible to guarantee a specific posting location for the duration of your service, therefore you must be willing to relocate.
Salary: In the Army you'll get paid a highly competitive salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications; and your pay increases as you progress through training. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $50,272 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $71,817 per annum plus generous super.
