Teacher – Blair Athol Goodstart is Australia’s largest provider of early learning and care. Our centre Goodstart Early Learning Blair Athol is located in Adelaide’s north, right on Main North Road. Operating hours 6.30am to 6.
30pm, Monday to Friday. The centre caters for 85 children aged from six weeks to kindergarten aged. Blair Athol opened in mid 2019, a modern, purpose-built centre providing much-needed care for local families.
Featuring five spacious learning spaces, Goodstart Blair Athol is designed as a modern yet home-like, naturally inspired environment. Each room also has direct access to our outdoor nature-based designed play spaces with water feature flowing down a dry creek through to the sandpit. Other features include sensory gardens, natural logs designed to coordinate with custom rope of different variations to develop gross motor skills and a lookout deck with elevated views of the area.
Your role Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved) Hold a current SA Teachers Registration Hold a current First Aid qualification Full time permanent role Plan innovative and engaging learning experiences Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children A great role model with the ability to work independently but also in team environment. Great initiative and a desire to see the centre succeed Continue to uphold the centres strong community engagement and great relationships with their families, and sustainability initiatives Responsibilities Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions Maintain and apply expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children and the centre team Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice Contribute to a professional and positive work culture The benefits Comprehensive induction and training programme Access to a professional peer teacher mentor Professional pedagogical and operational centre support teams to assist you in providing high quality educational programs.
