About the Role Deliver high level physiotherapy services throughout the continuum of care to an increasingly complex clinical caseload across the Neurology Multidisciplinary Outpatient Service (NMOS) and Neurology.

Operate at a level beyond that of day to day clinical practice, requiring infrequent direct clinical practice supervision. In addition, provide clinical leadership in these clinical areas and contribute to the professional development of physiotherapy and other health professional colleagues in their assigned clinical area/s. Deliver high level Physiotherapy services, applying professional judgement to a complex caseload with a high degree of autonomy, across NMOS and neurology.

Infrequent direct clinical practice supervision is generally limited to areas outside the persons' high level of skill. Lead and contribute to clinical research in accordance with organisational objectives, to promote new approaches and evaluation of existing methods. As a clinician within a tertiary referral centre, provide high level communication on a daily basis to patients, families, colleagues and other stakeholders regarding complex physiotherapy service delivery, equipment, technology and the prioritisation and development of clinical services to promote optimal delivery of health services.

Liaise with physiotherapy colleagues across the State in response to complex conditions/cases as requested to optimise the continuum of care. Lead high quality service improvement initiatives and actively contribute to the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of research and service improvement activities. Actively lead and participate in professional development and contribute to the clinical practice supervision/mentoring for less experienced physiotherapists and therapy assistants to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards and capacity building within the physiotherapy department.
