About the Role This particular position interfaces with the other two positions in the reception area, and is responsible mainly for switchboard duties, attending to counter enquiries, admission of patients, medical chart maintenance and filing.
Respond to enquiries and provide information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery within a hospital setting. Contribute to patient flow by performing a support role to nursing and medical staff, coordinating all patient movements. Support Revenue initiatives and Patient Choice by enabling patients to make an informed financial decision regarding admission as either a public or private patient; identify compensable and ineligible status via verification and completion of the Patient Election Form.
Support Activity Based Funding Initiatives and contribute to patient flow initiatives by maintaining the accuracy of patient information systems. Applications will remain current for 12 months.
