About the Role The Enrolled Nurse (EN) practices under direct and/or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN); utilising clinical skills to provide evidence based person centred care within the department.

The EN consolidates knowledge and skills moving from beginner to experienced, applying their depth of knowledge and competence to effectively develop, provide and evaluate patient care, with regular communication and/or assistance from the Registered Nurse. Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS) provide inpatient, hospital-based and community mental health and community alcohol and drug services for all age groups at a number of campuses across Metro South Health. MSAMHS is committed to the provision of services that are patient centred and recovery focussed.

Mental Health Services are guided by the Mental Health Act 2016. Yugaipa is a 23-bed unit located on the Redland Hospital campus, Weippin Street, Cleveland. The unit has 19 beds in the main ward (Low Dependency Unit, LDU) and four beds in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

It is a single storey facility adjacent to both the main hospital and the Redland Residential Aged Care facility. Yugaipa is the only mental health inpatient ward on the campus. The Redland Hospital is situated on the Bayside between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
