The role You will be leading a team in the provision of a comprehensive inpatient/outpatient physiotherapy service to the North West Hospital and Health Service, covering the following: medical and surgical wards, paediatric and maternity wards, ICU, ED, various outpatient clinics, and including a weekend roster.
The team actively contributes to patient safety by developing policies, procedures and protocols for the North West Hospital and Health Service. As the Senior Physiotherapist, you will drive continued improvement of physiotherapy services through professional leadership and participation in quality improvement opportunities and ensure the region is delivering care consistent with professional standards aligned with the health service strategic priorities. Allied Health Services include Cardiac Scientist, Nutrition & Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech & Hearing, and Podiatry with a visiting Prosthetics & Orthotics service.
These professional teams provide a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery to the North West Hospital and Health Service, delivering Level 4 moderate complex inpatient and ambulatory care within the Mount Isa Hospital. The NWHHS Allied Health Services work in partnership with external service providers to support clinical service delivery across the region.
