Health and Safety Manager - Compliance & RiskQueensland Government
About the Role Our Health & Safety Manager - Compliance & Risk will work closely with the Director, Safety and Program Delivery teams to delivery high level advice and systems support across the safety assurance, compliance and risk programs, while ensuring health and safety on the project aligns with legislative requirements, operational plans, and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop programs to ensure the provision of safety assurance, audits, risk management, and incident investigations are delivered Provide oversight, updates, and analysis on non-conforming or high-risk safety trends and activities Design third party safety assurance audit requirements and monitor the development and effectiveness of subsequent safety treatment plans Develop CRRDA's Safety Critical Risk Profile and associated controls Ensure that CRRDA's health and safety standards are observed Prepare reports, which communicate valid and comprehensive recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of accident, audit and critical risk verification findings Develop supporting tools and processes to support management in safety assurance activities from a third-party perspective Provide advice, coaching, and mentoring to CRRDA management in the areas of assurance, safety, oversight, critical risk verifications, and incident investigation reviews. To see further key responsibilities, review the role description below About You Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) coupled with previous experience in an assurance role Ability to provide proactive leadership that engenders line management ownership in assurance and oversight activities Ability to design third party safety assurance audit requirements and monitor the development and effectiveness of subsequent safety treatment plans Ability to provide advice, coaching, and mentoring in the areas of assurance, oversight, critical risk verifications, and incident investigation reviews Ability to develop and implement supporting tools and processes to support management in safety assurance activities from a third-party perspective An understanding of critical risks and the application of verification processes in an engineering and construction environment Demonstrate persistence and skill in gathering and analysing information and data Ability to build both strong internal and external relationships To be a safety role model in the business and seek opportunities for constant improvement Please note, this role will be offered as a 3 year maximum term contract Why work with CRRDA?
