Engineer (Pavements)Queensland Government
In this role you will provide a range of services that contribute to the delivery of pavement works across the Department. You will be responsible for providing cost effective and innovative engineering solutions that include pavement and material selection and design, providing advice to internal and external clients, research and development, the implementation and evaluation of practical engineering solutions and peer review. Accountabilities will include: - Planning, directing, controlling, and reporting on pavement and materials selection and design and the performance of innovative design and construction techniques.
- Continually developing improvements to pavement specification, construction and design systems, documents and processes to improve outcomes for Queensland. - Providing reliable engineering and technical advice on pavement material selection and pavement assessment/design and maintaining this level of competency by understanding and applying local, national and international best practice in these areas. - Consulting with external and internal specialist groups, engineering consultants, contractors and industry suppliers on issues affecting pavement materials, designs, construction practices, products and technology.
