As a Team Leader of the Underground Mobile Maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to support and guide our talented technicians, managing the safe and cost effective maintenance on our large fleet of Underground mobile equipment in order to ensure availability, performance and integrity.
Working in our World Class Underground Maintenance Workshop, you will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of all underground mobile equipment. Team members are expected to demonstrate focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of their work. About You To be successful for this role you will have: • Trade Qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic; • Leadership experience; • Previous history working on underground equipment such as Caterpillar loaders, Epiroc trucks, Sandvik drill rigs and Normet equipment is preferred; • Equipment manufacturer experience highly regarded; • Hydraulic fault finding experience would be advantageous; • Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP; • Experience in underground mining operations environment is essential; • A current driver’s license; • Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable but not essential About Nickel West Nickel West is a fully integrated mine-to-market business. We also have plans to expand our operations with new mines in the northern Goldfields and a large nickel sulphate plant in Kwinana. Leinster Site: Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.
