What you’ll be doing As our Medical Editor: Publications, you will provide medical editing and writing services for Australian Prescriber, RADAR and other NPS MedicineWise resources and publications. You will also be supporting the development and editing of Australian Prescriber podcasts. Your keen eye for detail, sound understanding of the quality use of medicines and medical tests and strong editorial experience will ensure our publications continue to meet the high expectations of our Australian and international audiences.
Ideally you will have sound understanding of the quality use of medicines and medical tests, preferably within the Australian health system. Experience writing medical content for primary health care professionals is a plus This role operates in a matrix management with a primary reporting line to the Medical Content & Education Manager and a secondary reporting line to the Editor in Chief of Australian Prescriber, so having experience navigating work in a matrix environment would be advantageous. Please note you will be required to have an appropriate and safe workstation set up at home.
What you will need A minimum of five years of experience as a medical editor. Tertiary qualifications in a science or health-related field. Demonstrated skills in synthesising health related information with in-depth understanding of evidence-based medicine and an ability to interpret clinical study results.
