Senior Project OfficerDepartment of Education and Training
The Division brings together a range of complementary strengths, including: Generalist policy, coordination and stakeholder skills Knowledge of and experience in the State Budget process and the Department's financial management obligations Investment strategy, including balancing investment priorities across the Department Conceptual policy analysis and development, applying analytic frameworks to distil complexity, and drawing on experiences and lessons from other sectors Quantitative analysis and modelling, identifying ways to interrogate problems using data and analytic methods, and understanding and communicating the strengths and limitations of analysis Communicating complex ideas to a range of senior stakeholders, understanding their priorities and viewpoints, and exercising good judgement in handling sensitive information. This role will be focused on supporting the Department's annual State Budget Submissions, and leading other strategic resource management projects. For some roles, a moderate-high level of quantitative ability to undertake sophisticated statistical analysis is desirable to support a balanced set of capabilities across the division to deliver on the remit of our work.
