Manager Threatened Species PolicyDepartment of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
The Biodiversity Strategy and Knowledge Branch is seeking a Manager Threatened Species Policy to provide leadership at a statewide level regarding policy and strategy for the conservation of threatened species and communities. The successful applicant will engage with key stakeholders within DELWP, other government agencies, universities and the sector and the community, including working to resolve complex challenges in the context of DELWP's statutory responsibilities and strategic directions provided by the Biodiversity 2037 plan and the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988 . Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications A tertiary qualification in public policy, environmental science, biology or a related discipline is required.
Knowledge of legislation and strategic policy relevant to threatened species conservation in Australia is desirable. Experience foreseeing and mitigating organisational risks is required. This is a fixed term position, available for a period of 2 years.
