About the role As a Home Care Support Worker you are the Regis representative in the homes of our valued clients. You play a vital role in providing customised care and services to each client, supporting them to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible. You are passionate and committed to supporting the aged and frail to maintain their well-being, dignity and independence.
Shift times vary across a 24 hour schedule including weekends and public holidays. Key Responsibilities Provide services to the client in their home as outlined in the Care Plan, and regularly review the Care Plan to ensure you have an up to date understanding of particular client circumstances, needs and services. You will monitor the client and their environment and report any issues, needs, changes or suggestions to your Client Services manager Your duties will differ according to the needs of the client, however may include: Personal care - showering, oral care, continence management Food preparation - preparing meals, monitoring foods and fluids Social support - escorting the client on outings such as shopping trips, coffee/lunch excursions, visits Transport - for the client to doctors’ appointments, to/from hospital, to/from respite care etc.
Medication Assistance - (subject to holding up to date competency) issuing and/or monitoring to ensure medication is being taken, assisting with simple dressings, application of ointments etc. Skills & Experience Qualified with a Certificate III in Community Care or Aged Care Previous experience in a AIN/PCA or Home Care Support Worker role First Aid / CPR Qualifications Good communication and customer service focus To be eligible to join the team at Regis we require the following: Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis’ mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e.
