Project Manager - Microgrids

PRP are currently seeking an experience Project Manager with experience across BESS and Microgrids for a contract role with our client. Phillip Riley Projects (PRP) are a resourcing partner for leading renewable energy projects across Australia. Our team ensures the right people are in the right place, at the right time, to help develop, deliver and manage complex projects and assets in the energy sector, including wind, solar and transmission projects.

The role: Execute assigned Project Management activities associated with Microgrids (MG), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Grid Automation (GA) and other associated system engineering activities within the Grid Automation business of the Power Grids division. The primary responsibility will be the formal Project Management of Projects and Contracts in Microgrids Systems for diverse applications (e.g.

Commercial & Industrial, Mining, Oil & Gas, grid scale energy storage, etc.). Power Generation or Systems Control background is also well regarded.

Other main responsibilities include: • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Engineering Team Leader to ensure projects are delivered within the boundaries of the specified project schedules and costs. The Project Manager will work with other assigned project team members and act as the official Contract reference for the customer. • Assist the PM Team to build standard and custom solutions for customers efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

• Work with overseas engineering centre to deliver engineering deliverables in an efficient and timely manner. • Use PM tools to initiate, plan, monitor, manage control and close Projects and Contracts to successful conclusion. • Travel to customer locations in Australia and New Zealand region to liaise with Customers, primary Vendors and Project start-up activities.

• Provide technical Project Management and engineering expertise to meet the requirements of upgrade projects, system expansions, or Service Offerings. • Plan, coordinate and manage day-to-day activities associated with delivery of projects in order to meet scope requirements. • Provide process control improvement concepts through innovative thinking and process knowledge.

• Maintain excellent customer relationships and focus on lifting customer satisfaction. • Due to the nature of the work, including site and vendor visits, and the international nature of these industries, periods of domestic and international travel will be required.
