Data Modeler-Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Canberra (Australia all locations)-Capgemini Let's talk about the role and responsibilities: You will be working closely with various project stakeholders to understand their data needs. You will use your advanced data architecture experience, knowledge and skills to define and execute the data strategy, design and data management engagements for our clients Perform the required data analysis and data modelling in order to build using industry best tools data model and physical data model for the designed solution to align with the architecture framework Besides, you need to ensure that the produced model is mature and matching the requirements with comprehensive data governance and management principles are applied such as data cleansing, data quality check, data transformation, data lineage, data consistency and integrity, backup and archival policies, data storage policies, record management and retention, data access management and data encryption Let's talk about your qualifications and experience: Required - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field A minimum of 6 to 8 years of industry experience Experience with Data Warehouse modelling using Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional (Star/Snowflake) techniques is mandatory.

Previous experience translating Business rules into Conceptual, Logical & Physical models for OLTP / OLAP / Graph / NoSQL databases. Minimum 5 years' experience with DBMS (MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, DB2, Netezza). Minimum 3 years' experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments.

Software Development experience with SQL and preferably Python or JavaScript is required Experience in converting relational data models to semi-structured data (XML, JSON) or vice versa is required 5 years' experience with modelling tools such as ERWin or ER/Studio or Power Design. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively on large scale data projects. Experience in Agile / Scrum projects advantageous.

Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team Ability to utilize Business Intelligence tools (Power BI) to represent insights Experience working with dimensionally modelled data Experience in translating/mapping relational data models into XML and Schemas.
