Do you hold relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer? An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic applicant to join the the Infection Prevention and Control team in an expanding and dynamic COVID19 response unit. The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse Educator is to provide for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of Infection Prevention & Control education at the Special Health Accommodation (SHA). This education may include local site orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as non clinical roles within the SHA to meet the ongoing educational needs of the workforce.
The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/ training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures. The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build: The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.

Based on operational requirements, you may be required to work from either of these facilities.
