About the Role Currently experiencing rapid growth, our client is looking for Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their multidisciplinary team across Victoria. Within the CBD, Northern, Eastern and Southern Suburbs of Melbourne. As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide therapy services to support children, young people and adults with a disability to pursue the lifestyle of their choice, maximise their functional skills and promote physical health and well-being.
As well as working with their families and support teams to identify their needs through assessment and individual planning, whilst also producing detailed Behaviour Support Plans within a holistic and integrated approach. The successful candidate will be required to monitor the effectiveness of any behaviour support plan, its implementation and effectiveness and also lead other staff members in the team to provide a high quality service. Essential Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology. Full registration with the relevant membership body. Experience working with children and people with complex needs.
Experience working within a trans or multi-disciplinary team. Experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support to clients. Have a sound knowledge of the NDIS.
Demonstrated experience in writing & implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans. Demonstrated experience in providing training and leadership to team members, clients & their families. How to apply Shortlisting and interviewing will be commencing ASAP.
