PMO & Procurement Specialists - SME Up to $850 super per day12 month contract Sydney CBD As a Project Management Office (PMO), Procurement Specialist you will work across several projects and programs at any one time and will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding IT through this Government departments procurement processes. Coupled with this you will provide support to the Project Management Office through incremental improvement and the quality maintenance of existing processes. This position is located in Sydney CBD and during the state’s response to COVID-19 Pandemic through collaboration technology you will work remotely.
There is also scope for this role to offer some flexibility and remote working outside of COVID-19 conditions. Reporting to the Program Manager, the initial term of this contact is 12 months. Subject to satisfactory performance and resource requirements this contract will go on.
During this time, you will guide IT projects through the release of quality IT RFQs (Request for Quotes) / RFTs (Requests for Tenders), including reviewing functional and non-functional requirements and participation in the evaluation processes. You will support an established structured PMO, identify and implement improvements within procurement management. Your ability to work systematically, to understand and suggest improvement opportunities within a complex environment will be the key in this role.
To be successfully land this excellent role you will need to have a strong knowledge of Project Methodologies (PRINCE2 / PMBOK), government experience (preferred but not essential) and a formal PRINCE2 or PMBOK qualification.
